Preserving the house of our hearts
For over 90 years, the Alpha Tau Omega chapter house at the University of Maine has stood as a symbol of brotherhood, tradition, and resilience. Designed in 1931 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, our chapter house has been a second home to generations of brothers. However, after nearly a century, the original slate roof has reached the end of its lifespan and requires full replacement to protect the structure for future generations.

It’s time for our next chapter – sustainability and growth!
To ensure the long-term preservation of our home, we are launching a capital campaign to raise $400,000–$500,000 for a historically accurate slate roof replacement. Thanks to the generosity of our alumni, we’ve already secured $150,000 in committed donations—but we need your help to close the gap. Your support will ensure that the house remains strong, safe, and true to its historic character for decades to come. Join us in preserving our legacy—every donation makes a difference!
